- Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG): DCLG is responsible for policy on housing, planning, regional and local government and the fire service. It also takes responsibility for the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit and the Government Offices for the Regions.
- South West Councils: South West Councils brings local authorities together to ensure the best deal for their areas and to strengthen the local voice at regional and national levels.
- South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA): SWRDA's goal is to improve the economy of the South West. It also promotes the strengths of the region and helps people to regenerate their communities.
- Homes and Communities Agency (HCA): HCA is the national housing and regeneration delivery agency for England. Their role is to create thriving communities and affordable homes. They have a Bristol Office.
