Why have a partnership?

The West of England Partnership was set up to address jointly those matters that need to be dealt with by the area as a whole in the best interests of its communities.

The Partnership aims to:

  • Realise the potential of the Partnership area and deliver improvements in infrastructure, environment and quality of life
  • Set a vision and clear long-term direction to support the delivery of key West of England strategies
  • Promote the interests of the area regionally, nationally, and in Europe
  • Add to the confidence in the West of England to attract public and private investment
  • Work more holistically in the interests of the area as a whole.

Particular attention will be given to transport, planning, waste, appropriate housing supply, economic competitiveness, inward investment and skills.
