Environmental Partners

The West of England authorities, the Environment Agency and Natural England are committed to delivering the necessary infrastructure to support sustainable economic growth, and addressing environmental issues, including mitigation and adaptation to climate change.

The West of England councils have formalised working arrangements with the Environment Agency and Natural England through a Memorandum of Understanding. This MoU has been prepared as an agreed statement of intent between equal partners, based on trust and a commitment to achieve a set of common objectives.

The memorandum will be underpinned by an Action Plan that aims to build on existing links and facilitate knowledge transfer between partners so that future decisions can be made with a clear understanding and appreciation of each others position. Once agreed the action plan will be made available on this web page.
