Planning, transport & environment
The planning, transport and environment (PTEG) group was set up to:
- Advise and act in support of the partnership (and through the partnership, the local authorities) on sub-regional spatial and transport planning and environmental matters.
- Recommend joint action on these issues to the partnership and secure the outcomes approved.
- Advocate responses on sub-regional spatial and transport planning and the environment to influence regional and national policy and resource allocation.
- Work with the other specialist groups of the partnership on issues of common interest.
The group's immediate priorities include:
- Contributing to the development of a sub-regional vision in support of the partnership.
- Influencing the overall development of the Regional Spatial Strategy and the Regional Transport Strategy by the South West Regional Assembly.
- Developing and recommending to the partnership strategic transport proposals.
- Working with the Housing Group in making recommendations to the partnership in response to the West of England Housing Market Study.
PTEG meetings include a Public Forum through which members of the public can make statements, ask questions or present a petition. Details of how this works are available here.
Membership list is available here.
